Scope : The project was designed and finished

Description :The outer envelope surrounding the market façades was designed to give a modern appearance through its form and refined materials.

The design is based on two main ideas:

1. Drawing inspiration for the façade’s fragmented geometry from the mountainous nature of Taif.

2. Adopting the concept of rawasheen—a traditional architectural element of the city—and reinterpreting it in a modern, technical way through horizontal shading louvers that wrap around parts of the project.
